Spring Seminar – Murrayshall Tuesday 28 th May 2013


Members are reminded that guests from their club who are involved in the administration of their club will be most welcome to attend.  

Please note that the all inclusive cost of the seminar is £35 per delegate.  Please also note that this cost includes the use of a ride on buggy for the golf so no caddy carts are needed.  Tee times have been booked for 36 players so it will be first come, first served.

09.00 – 09.30 Welcome by Regional Captain Alan Donald and an invite to our sponsors to give a five minute reminder to the membership of the services available to them from their respective organisations.

09.30 – 10.10 Presenter – Kevin Faulds, Partner in Earth Fuel Scotland  

Subject: This company specialises in renewable energy installations. The presentation will review; Renewable Heat Incentive (RHi) -  This is a Government scheme that will pay you to heat your Golf Club. and; Feed In Tariff (FIT) - This is a scheme that pays you to produce your own electricity in the Golf Club. The benefits of combining Energy saving devices with RHi & FIT will be explained.

10.10 – 10.55 Presenter – John MacMillan, Partner in McRoberts specialising in Employment Law.

Subject: What will be what regarding employees' rights at the end of 2013? It's a year of momentous change driven by the Coalition. Will employees have fewer rights? Yes. Can I therefore treat them like 19th century factory slaves? Absolutely not. Should I be scared or apprehensive? No. Should I still be buying an insurance package to cover claims? It's your decision but I have an opinion.

Subject:  Following on from the series of roadshows presented late in 2012, Gary will review the ongoing developments being implemented by Club Systems.

11.45 – 12.30 Ceirion Jones of Rocket Sports Incentives

Subject: This Golf Club Rewards Scheme facilitates the purchase of gift cards at corporate discount rates which are then redeemed for full value at a range of nationally recognised stores.  The savings can then be split between the club and the member and this can not only generate income for the club but the members share can greatly reduce his annual subscription.  Members will remember that full details of this scheme were circulated on 18 th December 2012 by email.

13.00 – 14.00 Soup and sandwich lunch and networking

14.00 Courtesy golf on the Murrayshall Championship course to be followed by a small prizegiving.  A tee time reservation notice will be available at our seminar reception.
