GCMA Scotland

Scotland v Ireland 2012

This match was held at Royal Portrush on 9th and 10th September.  The hosts very kindly organised a warmup round over the nearby Portstewart which proved to bring bad luck to the visitors.  Team stallwart Scott Miller fell searching for a ball and damaged his shoulder to the extent that he took no part in the actual match.

The Irish are difficult to beat at the best of times and despite heroic efforts by Eddie Comerford playing without his sidekick the Scots lost 4.5 to 1.5 on the first day and by the same margin again on day two.  The Irish therfore ran out comfortable winners by nine matches to three.
