10.00 – 10.45 am "How do your staff perform when you are not watching ?" Sadly we have all visited a club whose staff seem to be going through the motions. You are left with the feeling that you are actually interrupting their day, and you wonder why such people are working in a golf club where passion for the club and the customer must surely be a basic requirement of the job ? Whilst we all hope that our own golf clubs do not deliver poor customer service, a series of mystery shopper visits to Scottish golf clubs have found that we have much work to do. The SGU/SLGA has been working with over 20 clubs willing to look in the mirror, then crucially, if they don't like what they see, do something about it. Scottish Golf Club Services Manager Kevin Fish will reveal the findings of this initiative, and give delegates at this event the first opportunity to consider how they would like their club to benefit from the launch of a new campaign in Scotland to help leaders of clubs on a renewed focus on customer service under their leadership.
